Welcome to Tuk Tuk Thai Kitchen!
Thai cuisine blends five fundamental tastes: sweet, spicy, sour, bitter, and salty. Some common ingredients used in Thai gastronomy include garlic, chilies, lime juice, lemon grass, coriander, galanjal, palm sugar and fish sauce known as nam pla in Thailand. The staple food in Thailand is rice, particularly jasmine variety rice (also known as "hom Mali" rice) which is included in virtually every meal.
Manuel Augusto Ricardo, the owner of Tuk Tuk, is a typical macanese who fell in love with the old Siam soon after his first visits to the country in the 80's. Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket are only a few of many places Manuel Ricardo visited and lived in Thailand. He interacted with the local people and gained throughout the years, all the passion and know-how of traditional Thai cuisine.
